Digital diary

Today's diary entry gives a personal insight into the favorite sounds of pianist Johannes:

"Exploring a wide variety of new sounds is an important part of what characterizes the work of my friends and colleagues and myself at Klangforum Wien . Many beautiful sounds certainly go unnoticed in our everyday lives. As a contribution to the digital diary, I would therefore like to present a small collection of some of my favorite sounds, from current rehearsals to moments from last summer:

The Townsend's Solitaire, a North American bird that sings cheerfully all year round, interpreted by Olivier Messiaen. - Another bird, nameless, that lives in my piano. - The pleasant but rare sound of a billiard ball finding its way to the target. - The vibration of a fish trap that gives hope that something is waiting inside. - Autumn leaves, a bit of rain, a shot and the subsequent flight of a soccer ball."
