11,000 strings in the Wiener Konzerthaus

As the prelude concert of our concert series 2026/27 VOCE, Georg Friedrich Haas’s microtonal composition 11,000 Strings for 50 Pianos and Ensemble thrilled the audience on September 20, 2026, at the Wiener Konzerthaus. Under the musical direction of Conductor in Residence Vimbayi Kaziboni and together with the 50 pianists from the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, the ensemble took the audience on a journey through impressive soundscapes in two sold-out performances in the Great Hall.
