11,000 strings in the Wiener Konzerthaus

As the opening concert of our 2026/27 VOCE concert series, Georg Friedrich Haas’s microtonal composition *11,000 Strings for 50 Pianos* and * Ensemble * thrilled the audience on September , 2026, at the Wiener Konzerthaus. Under the musical direction of Conductor in Residence Vimbayi Kaziboni and together with the 50 pianists from the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the Ensemble took the audience on a journey through impressive soundscapes in two sold-out performances in the Great Hall.
