Star Gorges: Olivier Messiaen

Olivier Messiaen's impressive composition "Des Canyons aux étoiles" takes listeners on a journey from the rocky landscapes of Utah across the starry sky to paradise. On January 16, 2026, Klangforum Wien, in its expanded formation, together with current and former PPCM as the KLANGFORUM WIEN ORCHESTRA, brought this brilliant work to the stage of the Great Hall of Wiener Konzerthaus. Conducted by Ingo Metzmacher, the performance featured a variety of solos.
