Concert cycle 24/25 EXPLOSION

In the course of seven concerts of the series 24/25 EXPLOSION, Klangforum Wien portrayed the powers inherent in a world on the brink. The season’s programme included numerous world premieres, stylistic "flagrancy" and the concertante-performative meta-opera AMOPERA as the fulminant finale. Works by Pierre Boulez, Beat Furrer, Georg Friedrich Haas, Clara Iannotta, Alex Paxton, Wolfgang Mitterer and many more were acclaimed enthusiastically by the audiences.

In the season 24/25, the passionate and fiery musical guidance was provided by our two Conductors in Residence Elena Schwarz and Vimbayi Kaziboni as well as by the conductors Tim Anderson, Sylvain Cambreling, Beat Furrer and Ingo Metzmacher.
