Beijing Modern Music Festival 2024

As part of the 2024 edition of the Beijing Modern Music Festival, Klangforum Wien made its debut in Beijing on 12 May. Conducted by Titus Engel, the ensemble performed works by its founder and constant companion Beat Furrer, by Xiaogang Ye and with Situations by Georges Aperghis a piece from its core repertoire at the Central Conservatory of Music Opera & Concert Hall. In subsequent masterclasses, we had the opportunity to share insights into playing and performance practice with the next generation of musicians at the conservatory.
