Beijing Modern Music Festival 2024

As part of this year's edition of the Beijing Modern Music Festival, Klangforum Wien made its debut in Beijing. Conducted by Titus Engel, the ensemble performed works by Beat Furrer, founder and companion of the ensemble, and Xiaogang Ye at the Central Conservatory of Music Opera Hall, as well as 𝘚𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 – a "soirée musciale" by Georges Aperghis. The latter was composed especially for Klangforum Wien in 2013 and weaves together very personal moments of the ensemble's soloists into a musical tryptich.

In subsequent masterclasses, members of Klangforum Wien had the opportunity to share insights into playing and performance practice with the next generation of musicians at the conservatory.
