Elizabeth Ward: Dances for Lucia Długoszewski

Together with choreographers Weronika Pelczyńska from Warsaw and Vienna-based Elizabeth Ward, Klangforum Wien immerses itself in the soundscapes of the Polish-American Lucia Długoszewski and presents the multifaceted work as a concert dance, premiered on 3 August at the ImPulsTanz Festival 2024 in Vienna.

In this video, choreographer Elizabeth Ward offers an exclusive insight behind the scenes of the rehearsal process with her dancer Julie Müllner and the ensemble, and describes her approach of how to translate Długoszewski's compositions into contemporary dance. Enjoy watching!
