The Tower of Babel III at Wiener Konzerthaus

The Tower of Babel is a programme dedicated to recent works by composers from the region of the former Soviet Union. As part of the concert season CANYON at Wiener Konzerthaus, the concert programme on 16 November 2025 included an expanded focus on new compositions from Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, and Georgia. Under the baton of Vimbayi Kaziboni, national and world premieres of fascinatingly diverse works by Anna Korsun, Koka Nikoladze, Hovik Sardaryan, Alexander Khubeev, and Marina Khorkova were performed. Between the individual pieces, the audience also had the opportunity to watch excerpts from films by Dziga Vertov and Sergei Eisenstein.
