Wien Modern – La nuda voce

Francesca Verunelli, who launched a new series of portraits of contemporary composers at the Salzburg Festival this year, has received numerous awards for her compositions. These include the Silver Lion at the 2010 Venice Musica Biennale and the 2020 Composition Grant from the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. She has received numerous composition commissions, including from the SWR Symphony Orchestra and the Klangforum Wien.

La nuda voce I and II premiered in 2025 at the Donaueschingen Music Festival and Wien Modern. La nuda voce I, II, and III were performed this year at the Salzburg Festival.
