Agrigento 2025 - Capitale Italiana della Cultura

As part of the Italian Capital of Culture Agrigento 2025, Klangforum Wien brought a varied programme to the Sicilian city between 27 April and 3 May. Conducted by Jack Sheen at the Teatro Pirandello, the ensemble presented works which had previously been selected as part of the Open Call together with Fondazione Agrigento 2025. In addition, the ensemble members performed urban interactions all over the historic city center, thus turning it into a city map of sounds which involved the entire urban population. Finally, the Symposion in the tradition of Plato concluded the residency.
