At Klangforum Wien's second concert at Wigmore Hall, London, Arnold Schoenberg provides the fulcrum around which the programme turns. In addition to the haunting arrangement of Ferruccio Busoni's Berceuse élégiaque by Schoenberg's pupil Erwin Stein, the evening also includes the evocative quintet by Schoenberg's friend Franz Schreker. The gripping melodrama of Pierrot Lunaire by Schoenberg himself rounds up the programme.
Under the baton of Vimbayi Kaziboni, the ensemble's Conductor-in-Residence, mezzo-soprano Barbara Kozelj joins the ensemble on stage.
