Quadro Italiano

For decades, the Italo-Argentine conductor-composer Emilio Pomàrico has worked closely with Klangforum Wien. Now he has written a tailor-made “Concerto” for the ensemble, in addition to making one of the key works by Niccolò Castiglioni – a composer still sadly and undeservedly undervalued - accessible to us by means of a special adaptation. Luciano Berio, an established pioneer of contemporary music in Italy, completes this “quadro italiano”.
