Prague Spring – Masterclass & Reading Lesson

What does it feel like sightreading a new composition? Which performance techniques are important? As ensemble-in-residence at the Prague Spring Festival, the personal encounters with aspiring musicians and composers are a central aspect of Klangforum Wien's residency. Once again, in dialogue with students of instrumental and composition classes, members of the ensemble will offer reading lessons and masterclasses, in which the talented young artists can refine their vision of New Music. Afterwards, Peter Paul Kainrath (Klangforum Wien), Christian Fausch (Ensemble Modern) and composer Miroslav Srnka will hold a discussion and take questions from the audience.
