Alex Paxton is often described as “system crasher” – nothing is ever safe from him. A multi-stylist and improvising jazz trombonist, he knows of no discrepancy between entertainment, highly complex work-structures, and breathtaking virtuosity. Elements taken from music for video games, classical chamber music and free jazz are melded in his musical smelting furnace to create a blazing and highly energetic musical language.
