Nothing is ever safe from him. Frequently, Alex Paxton has been referred to as “system crasher”. A multi-stylist and improvising jazz trombonist, he knows of no discrepancy between entertainment, highly complex work-structures, and breathtaking virtuosity. Elements taken from music for video games, classical chamber music and free jazz are melded in his musical smelting furnace to create a blazing and highly energetic musical language.
