Together with the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE), Klangforum Wien is bringing Georg Friedrich Haas' composition in vain to Spain. The work impresses with constantly changing waves of sound, harmonies with unconventional pitches of the instruments and, last but not least, the specific lighting of the stage, which is an integral part of the score. In special coaching and rehearsal sessions, ensemble members work on the work in advance with the musicians of the Spanish youth orchestra, which will ultimately be performed on two evenings under the baton of Jordi Francés.
